Glamorizing 

Not every model has amazing silky smooth and perfect skin. If rumors are to be believed, most models are, in fact, human! And they have human skin, blemishes, creases, and all. A skilled photographer, with the right equipment and  lights and a little makeup can enhance attractive features while taking attention away from less attractive features, sometimes even making editing unnecessary. 

I start by taking the original image, and making a series of layers. This gives me absolute control over each layer. In this image, I have four layers, the subject, a flesh layer, and layers for her eyes, mouth, and teeth. 

I started with the flesh layer and brushed out little blemishes, and lightened lines and shadows for a youthful appearance, and then add a Gaussian blur to soften her skin texture a bit. I brighten her eyes and teeth a bit, and Bingo! My finished product!
